New Eats in Baldwin Hills!

POST & BEAM ...

A New Restaurant Opens in the Crenshaw Community!

Ladies and gentlemen........we finally have ourselves a restaurant!  As the former Sanata Barbara plaza is bulldozed and built up, the Crenshaw mall unveiled its new renovation, the Rave theater is open and crackin', there's a Staples now, and much from our mouths to God's ears - we have Post & Beam.

Industry veteran Brad Johnson, along with master chef Govind Armstrong have built an oasis adjacent to the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza that offers something for all palates to enjoy.  Inside the lofty dining room, two and four top tables spread around, allowing patrons to see chefs at work in the open kitchen and gaze at culinary delights as they roast in the wood burning brick oven.

Outside is a patio with tables, couches and a screen of fresh herbs and trees that keep you secluded from the Santa Rosalia traffic and the bustle of the mall parking lot.

The menu speaks for itself - hand stretched pizzas with crushed tomato, basil and homemade sausage; a surprisingly tasty grilled octopus and turkey meatballs are just a few of the starters. Larger plates offer boneless beef short ribs, roasted salmon, and angus beef sirloin to name a few. Right now the bar is strictly beer and wine - but so what!  This is where you need to come for dinner.  The staff  is
awesome, diverse and knowledgeable.  Honestly, it seems as if this place was uprooted from Hollywood or the West side --but good for "the hood".  We need this.  You need this!  Post & Beam is pricier than the other eateries in the area, but then again, it's worth it.  If you want elegance, culture, and damn good food, it costs.  We need to start spoiling ourselves more and expect nothing but the best.  As Post &Beam sets a new standard for urban dining - be ready for more to enjoy.

POST & BEAM.  Located just outside  Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza at 3767 Santa Rosalia Drive. (google map)--near Stocker and Crenshaw. For more infomation, contact owners Brad and Linda Johnson at  Linda@postandbeamla.com or call

See you there!
