Eat, Shop, Play...In the Crenshaw!

Hey Everybody...

I just want to remind you all to make your best efforts to support the businesses along Crenshaw Blvd. during the construction of the Metro Line.  I had a great time with Community Business Liason, JC Lacey of LA Metro.  He is doing amazing things to help promote The Brooklyn Deli in Leimert Park.   Eat, Shop Play Crenshaw.  I salute you, JC!

The Hopeful Home Buyer's Tour is Back...

Hi Everybody...

I'd love to invite you to my Hopeful Home Buyer's Tour!  I teach my Buyer's TO DO List to first time home buyers so that they know the basics of the purchase process and what to expect upfront, before they start their search. Everything is explained in layman's terms and you can ask me anything you've ever wanted to know about buying your first home!

Also, my team of loan officers (see below) will  be present to establish a game plan for the financing (the foundation for the transaction).

After we review the list, we serve a yummy lunch and then we'll actually go see 3 homes in Leimert Park--not for the purpose of actually buying, but for first timers to build hope and vision for the purchasing process. This event is totally FREE!!! Next month it we will charge $10.

Please reach out to me if you or someone you know would like to attend my Hopeful Home Buyer's Tour:

Date: Saturday, September 27th
Time: 12noon to 2pm
Location: My Home in Leimert Park (Address provided when you RSVP)
RSVP to:  323.559.9081 or via email preshaproperties@gmail.com

***All attendees must be willing to be pre-approved for a loan if they are not already.***

Hope to see you soon!

Weekends In Leimert...

During this March 30thLeimert Park ArtWalk Ben R. Caldwell of Kaos Network is hosting a Leimert Park Plaza "Tactica Media" workshop to look at integrating re-invented payphones, newspaper boxes and other things into a public space design in Leimert Park.
Kaos Network, in partnership with Karl Baumann and Francois Bar at USC will present the Leimert Park Village’s"People Street" concept.
The People Street program concept is being designed for the area on 43rd Place from Degnan Boulevard to Leimert Boulevard.  The purpose is to have our community engage some ideas that will lead us into the 21 century as the Soul of LA.  You'll be able to hang out on the People Street from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday.  The project concept will be submitted to the Dept. of Transportation by the Leimert Park Village Crenshaw Corridor BID, Council District 10 and the LA Dept. of Cultural Affairs in April and we would love to have your support!
A People Street Plaza creates accessible public open space by closing a portion of street to vehicular traffic. Paint or other treatments are applied to the street surface, while large planters and other elements define the Plaza perimeter. The People Street Community Partners will maintain and operate the Plaza, provide movable tables and chairs, public programs and ongoing neighborhood outreach.
Providing expanded public spaces can increase safety for people who walk, bike, and take transit. It also encourages increased levels of walking and bicycling, while supporting economic vitality.  New local gathering spaces can foster a greater sense of community and social cohesion. Plazas can also become centerpieces of neighborhoods, providing venues for events and celebrations. As more pedestrians come to spend time in neighborhoods, the increased activity may support the vibrancy of local businesses.

Changes in Leimert Park...Voice Your Opinion!

Hey Folks...

The Leimert Park Stakeholders Committee has launched an exiting strategy to identify ways to attract more commercial and cultural industries to Leimert Park Village.  The committee is circulating a survey to the community in an effort to hear what changes the residents really want in the Village.
